Who Dylan Ng is
Ng leads the direction of LionsBot. Before it, he built SuperSteam Asia Pacific into what LionsBot calls Singapore's leading supplier of professional cleaning equipment and chemicals, importing from more than 15 countries.1
Door to door
Ng and his wife, Michelle Seow, met in an accounting class and started SuperSteam with S$2,000 each, selling cleaning equipment door to door and at one point working from his mother's garage. By 2017 it earned a multimillion-dollar annual profit, CNA reported.2

Building robots
In 2018 the couple teamed up with Professor Mohan Rajesh Elara of the Singapore University of Technology and Design, and a team of five engineers built their first prototype in seven months.2
At LionsBot's launch in 2018, Ng told The Straits Times that its first 100 robots would be rented to local cleaning contractors.3
LionsBot says it has since put 7,000 robots into service in more than 40 countries.1
